At the intersection of synth, sampler driven production, and cinematic emotionally laden melodies, exists the Serbian duo, Attila Ábrahám and Goran Grubišić aka GOAT GRAB. Their debut album under the moniker is forthcoming on the superb Oslated label. Sliding in at 12 tracks, the release titled, ‘Dream Figure’ is a melancholy drenched journey through spoken word, and haunting moments. At times evoking distant memories of a Vangelis tune in the best of ways. Listening through the entirety, it’s immediately apparent the gravitas and lifetimes of musical experiences that have been poured into the creation of each track.

The Crunch Of Dishonesty rumbles and tugs on the heart strings immediately with a lonesome synth establishing that all important atmosphere. A sad call answered by a chorus of supporting synths swells into a glitchy downtempo beat that gives movement and progress. All accompanied by a disembodied voice, giving mantras that echo around the listener until the track finishes in a slow but inevitable decay.
