Delayed with... DYL

One of the leading figures in the 'new generation' of drum & bass producers, Cluj-based Eduard Costea, better known as DYL, has been on our radar for quite some time. His last year's collaboration with Synkro, 'Empty faces' EP, on Swiss record label re:st, is still one of the most played releases here at Delayed HQ.

After numerous guest mixes that we heard from DYL and many episodes of his radio show, Echo, we were excited for a reason when Eduardo sent us his vision of the 'Delayed with...' mix. This one-hour journey is programmed to perfection. DYL sets up the atmosphere in the first quarter of the mix with a couple of lush, cosmic ambient tunes and takes off with GiGi FM's '22 Tear Drops'. From that moment, DYL travels to the dark side of halftime drum & bass and creates a perfect after-hours atmosphere, eventually finishing the journey with some crème de la crème leftfield electronica. This is a proper late-night eclectic journey.
