Vril is the type of artist that rarely takes the common path. His musical palette is typically subtle, layered, sophisticated and never straight forward. However, on occasion, the artist dials down his signature cavernous reverb, sets his complexity dial on "low" and dazzles the listener with gentle and restrained piece of music.

As the air grows crisp and the leaves begin to change, all flavors of the fall season and spectacular foliage of red, golden, and orange signal a beautiful season of new albums, releases, and remixes featuring Shielding, Aspetuck, Arkajo, Forest Drive West, Cleveland, Sputnik One, Tom VR, Surgeons Girl, Synkro & DYL, Sebastian Mullaert, Claudya, and Ripperton.

Summer is in full swing down in the underground electronic music world. August sees exciting tracks and imposing full-length albums featuring Mosam Howieson, Vantane, Inhmost, Jorum, HVL, Dauwd, MPU101, The Vision Reels, Launaea, Lauren Ritter, Lawrence, and Manu.

The spirit of the summer season inspires poetry and creates an atmosphere for beautiful music. July brought notable releases featuring Konduku, Sindh, BLNDR, Conoley Ospovat, Gilles Wasserman, Will Oirson, Bas Dobbelaer , Lack, Arnodd, Lunar Orbit Rendezvous, and The Alchemical Theory.

June was a joyful month for many reasons. For us at Delayed, there was a plethora of amazing music to match the nice change in weather.

June continues to resonate as an outstanding month for electronic music bringing fresh releases from incredibly talented artists in the likes of VC-118A, Tom Vernon, Lemna, Innere Tueren, Laura BCR, Forest On Stasys, Orion, Dycide, Mary Yalex, Olorun, Estrato Aurora, and Island People.

Philipp Priebe’s Stólar delivers its tenth release this June, entitled ‘To The Island’ and accompanied by a Johanna Knutsson remix.

From ambient, to minimal, to techno, to electro, there have been Aussie artists establishing themselves as those to look towards for new and exciting sounds. Today is no exception as we’re happy to highlight another Melbourne based artist, Cambio Sun, and his latest release, ‘In Vitro’.

To christen the first release of their new chill-out sub-label, Belgium-based Basic Moves looks to Sonmi451, and Dylan Thomas Hayes for a split EP, titled Gems Under the Horizon 1.

In the darker regions of techno, Joachim Spieth is a familiar name with an unmistakably familiar signature sound: extra deep melancholic pads set to a relentlessly driving beat, creating a stark contrast that is "oh so Spieth". But 2020 finds maestro unplugging his drum machine and playing more with his reverberated pads.

For the majority of the past year, we've had to put our dancing shoes away and enjoy music at home, while longing for those late nights and early mornings in dark rooms dancing with strangers.
