TRACK OF THE MOMENT: Cambio Sun - In Vitro

There must be something in the water down under, because the level of talent, and breadth of production seem to never end. From ambient, to minimal, to techno, to electro, there have been Aussie artists establishing themselves as those to look towards for new and exciting sounds. Today is no exception as we’re happy to highlight another Melbourne based artist, Cambio Sun, and his latest release, ‘In Vitro’.

The title track of the EP comes in swinging with a heavy off-kilter beat but paired with a distorted Sade sample, before jumping head long into a jungle inspired section. All that percussion panning around certainly gets the blood pumping. I could listen to tracks like this all day long, such a mix of emotions and styles that never get boring. Here’s what the artist had to say about inspirations for In Vitro, ‘I began to visualise a large body of water that was constantly in motion; getting ripped, pulled, mangled apart in every which way against its will by external forces. Only when these forces decide to mitigate their power does one experience some kind of tranquility and peace. That constant tension and release was my main focus for In Vitro.'
