PREMIERE: Dashiell & Sam Brickel - Run Out Groove [Animalia]

New! What, an adjective. Entirely subjective, or objective depending on your perspective. The harbinger of quality perhaps, or simply that of a flash of brilliance, gone quicker than the blink of an eye. New can be used for many things, however, today’s focus of an oft favorite adjective falls on the shoulders of Melbourne based DJ, and producer, Kia, her label, and a cadre of fellow artists.

Animalia as a label is new in every sense of the word, and in every sense, the best possible. Much like her mixes, Kia has curated an intricate selection from the thriving Melbourne scene that ticks every box for a burgeoning label. A proverbial shot across the musical bow if you will.

Our shot for today comes in the form of Dashiell & Sam Brickel and ‘Run Out Groove’. Nestled nicely among the other breakish tunes of Animalia 001, ‘Run Out Groove’ provides just as the name implies. Grooves with undulating synths and flashy acid highlights, persisting throughout to provide a top tier atmosphere. We’ll be watching, with ears wide open here at Delayed for what new things come out of Animalia, and we hope you do as well.
