PREMIERE: Atypikal - Landing [Academeia Records]

The relentless churn of techno welcomes a fresh face: Academeia Records, a Copenhagen outfit ready to launch into the stratosphere. Their debut offering, a sprawling 22-track compilation titled "Transparent World," promises a voyage through the genre's diverse landscape. We find established figures like Anthony Linell and Space Drum Meditation alongside the local legend Martinez,a veteran with years etched in the electronic music scene.

Our focus today is "Landing," a collaborative effort by the Athenian duo Atypikal. The track starts subtly, a slow burn of tension that builds for two minutes before erupting into a full-blown techno odyssey. Atypikal throws everything at the wall here: relentless percussion lays the foundation, catchy melodic sequences weave through the mix, and the kick drum pulsates like a throbbing heart.
