PREMIERE: Taupe - Abyss [Sungate]

Spanish label Sungate has been a beacon for techno lovers in the past several years, conjuring up dancefloor gems by artists close to our hearts here at Delayed. They're taking a refreshing plunge into depths of electro with the debut EP, "Deep Water," by Dutch producer Taupe.

Imagine scaling the rusty fire escape of a forgotten skyscraper, heart pounding as you climb towards the sky. The city sprawls beneath you, a concrete jungle teeming with hidden corners and forgotten secrets. That's the thrill of "Abyss" – a deep dive into the unexplored alleys of electro, where classic 808 broken beats are the cobbled streets, the air is soft and warmed by the glow of mellow pads while razor-sharp synths shimmer like holographic projections, casting fleeting glimpses of hidden realities onto the grimy facades of the concrete jungle.

Taupe's EP, "Deep Water," is a map to this sonic labyrinth, and "Abyss" is the hidden treasure at its heart.
